It was a delightful day on Shady Lane today, as family and friends gathered for an Easter Brunch. The sun came out shining brightly and the skies were a crisp, clear blue. The tide was rolling in and the the water, though chilly, was a happy sight for all. After appetizers and brunch, we made our way to the game room for our own version of Yankee Swap. There was a lot of screaming and gnashing of teeth as everyone tried to pry Lindsay's prized purple hamper away from her(she refused to forfeit it until she saw that barrel of monkeys!). And then...the HULA HOOP CONTEST! What fun that was. I wonder why the men declined to play...maybe they had too much birthday cake? There were
two yummy cakes this year, because we had an extra reason for celebration. Steve turned the magic age of 18 on the 25th and Tom will be 14 on the 30th! Everyone was a good sport and had lots of fun today. And now, as the sun sets on the bunnies and the flowers, the world is so glad that SPRING has finally arrived.
