Easter Time is Time for Family and Friends
It was a delightful day on Shady Lane today, as family and friends gathered for an Easter Brunch. The sun came out shining brightly and the skies were a crisp, clear blue. The tide was rolling in and the the water, though chilly, was a happy sight for all. After appetizers and brunch, we made our way to the game room for our own version of Yankee Swap. There was a lot of screaming and gnashing of teeth as everyone tried to pry Lindsay's prized purple hamper away from her(she refused to forfeit it until she saw that barrel of monkeys!). And then...the HULA HOOP CONTEST! What fun that was. I wonder why the men declined to play...maybe they had too much birthday cake? There were two yummy cakes this year, because we had an extra reason for celebration. Steve turned the magic age of 18 on the 25th and Tom will be 14 on the 30th! Everyone was a good sport and had lots of fun today. And now, as the sun sets on the bunnies and the flowers, the world is so glad that SPRING has finally arrived.

Tricia's Birthday Brunch
You know that I have lots of sisters, so don't complain that I'm flaunting this fact. Tricia's birthday was Thursday, so I must remind the world that my sister Tricia had a very special day and we celebrated it with a Sunday Brunch! I won't tell you her age, but her name is Patricia Evelyn Mary Kelley. In case you are curious, our mother's name is Evelyn Mary Patricia Kelley. Our dad called mom "Patsy", and we always wondered why? Anyways, Tricia and I had a wonderful Sunday brunch, complete with birthday presents. Good fun, and good family. Next birthdays...the grandsons!
My long-lost friend has been found..
Yes, it's true! I found my friend from 1964....Lillian! Have not seen her in over 30 years and had so much catching up to do. It was so great to see her, my teen friend. Life is too short to stand by and watch it go past. Live a little - and keep the friends of the old days!
